95% Mortgage – November 2010 Sees No Rise In 95% Mortgage

95% Mortgages In November 2010

It’s November 2010 and there is very little to add to the existing list of 95% mortgages.

On a positive note Newcastle Council are offering 95% mortgages to try and offload flats within its £40 million renovated tower blocks. It is using public money and is a risk to help those with a low deposit get a 95% mortgage.

“If this is a risk, it’s a calculated risk,” says Cllr John Faulkner, the LibDem leader of Newcastle City Council.

“We are not entering into this lightly. We have sought the help and advice of a local lender who will carry out all the relevant checks for us, and we are confident that we will be able to sell these flats.”

Another post as soon as more 95% mortgage deals become available.
